DOC GUARD · LEGAL INFORMATION

Terms of Use

Understand the conditions for analyzing documents, viewing your history, and subscribing to Doc Guard plans.

Last updated:

1. The service and these terms

These Terms govern the use of Doc Guard at docguard.app. The service inspects documents for signals of hidden instructions, attempts to manipulate AI systems and concealment techniques, presents evidence and maintains an account history.

By creating an account, you accept these terms. The Privacy Policy explains the processing of data needed to operate the service. For support, contact info@docguard.app.

2. Account and access

The service is intended for people aged 18 or older and authorized representatives of organizations. Provide a valid email address, confirm your registration and protect your credentials. Do not use another person's account without authorization.

You are responsible for use you authorize through your account and must notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not request or share passwords by email. Access to reports requires authentication and account permissions.

3. What the analysis provides

Doc Guard provides signals and excerpts for review. A signal may depend on the document's context, and not every detected instruction is malicious. The absence of alerts does not prove that a file is safe or free of hidden instructions.

Coverage depends on the format, file quality and reading limits stated in the report. Corrupted, protected or oversized files and unsupported features may prevent a complete analysis. Check coverage and notices before using the result.

The service does not replace antivirus software, human review, legal assessment or security controls in the AI system receiving the document. The report does not certify file authenticity and must not be the sole basis for decisions about hiring, credit or other rights.

4. Files, evidence and history

Doc Guard does not store the original file or complete images. Analysis requires access to content to identify signals. Storage is limited to history records and evidence.

History retains the file name, format, size, dates, result, coverage and findings, including limited evidence excerpts protected by encryption. These excerpts may contain personal information and, in very short documents, cover all the text. The Privacy Policy describes purposes, access and deletion in detail.

You retain rights to your documents and must keep the originals. Processing authorization is limited to what is needed to perform analysis and display history; it does not authorize selling data, advertising based on files or training AI models with the content.

5. Permitted use and responsibilities

Only analyze documents you can lawfully use. Where third-party personal data is involved, you or the organization you represent must define the purpose, ensure an appropriate legal basis and meet transparency and confidentiality obligations.

You must not access other accounts, bypass limits, exploit the service to harm others, introduce code to compromise the platform, extract data without authorization or use the service unlawfully. Testing suspicious instructions in documents is part of the product's purpose, provided it is authorized and does not attack the infrastructure.

Do not present an altered report as proof that Doc Guard certified a file's safety. If you identify a vulnerability, report it to support without accessing or exposing other users' data.

6. Plans, limits and pricing

  • Free: 5 documents per month, with no monthly fee, in PDF, Word (DOCX) and TXT formats.
  • Starter: 50 documents per month for USD 9.90 per month, in the following formats: PDF, Word (DOCX), TXT, Markdown, Excel (XLSX), PowerPoint (PPTX), CSV, HTML, PNG and JPEG.
  • Pro: 100 documents per month for USD 19.90 per month, with the same formats and features as Starter.

Size, format and batch limits are shown in the analysis workflow. Each processed document counts individually. The allowance renews on the first day of each month in São Paulo time and does not roll over. Subscribing to a plan does not reset usage already incurred that month; deleting history does not restore documents to your allowance either.

Review the conditions shown at checkout before confirming. Price changes or material changes to terms will be communicated in advance and will not retroactively change a period already paid for.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically on the billing date shown by Stripe until canceled. This billing cycle is separate from the document allowance renewal on the first day of the month.

Payment takes place in Stripe's hosted checkout. Doc Guard does not request your full card number or security code by email. Your plan is enabled after valid payment confirmation; returning from checkout alone does not confirm a subscription.

You can manage payments, invoices and cancellation through the portal available in Plans. To switch between paid plans or resolve a billing issue, contact info@docguard.app. Payment failures may prevent renewal of paid features, while preserving the period actually paid for.

8. Cancellation and right of withdrawal

You can request cancellation of renewal through the billing portal or support. Under ordinary cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period and no further renewal occurs. Deleting history, signing out or no longer using the service does not cancel a subscription.

In consumer relationships, the right of withdrawal under Article 49 of Brazil's Consumer Protection Code is preserved: you may withdraw from a distance contract within seven days under the law, with a full refund of amounts paid. Request this by email at info@docguard.app; you do not need to give a reason to exercise this right.

In addition to withdrawal, legal rights concerning improper charges, service failures and reimbursement remain applicable. Do not send card details when requesting support.

9. Account suspension and closure

We may temporarily restrict access where necessary to contain fraud, account compromise, abuse or violations of these Terms. Measures must be proportionate, with notice and an opportunity for clarification, unless prohibited by law or a risk requires immediate action.

To close your account, email info@docguard.app. Support will verify your identity, explain any active subscription and handle data deletion or retention under the Privacy Policy and legal obligations.

10. Availability and responsibility

The service may undergo maintenance, updates and downtime. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or detection of every manipulation technique. Notifications about incidents and personal data follow applicable obligations.

You should review signals in the document's context and maintain appropriate controls before providing files to AI or authorizing actions. These guidelines do not exclude Doc Guard's responsibility for failures attributable to it or limit mandatory rights under Brazilian law.

11. Changes, applicable law and support

The current Terms are available on this page with an update date. Material changes will be prominently communicated; new acceptance will be requested when needed. No change removes vested rights or authorizes retroactive charges.

Brazilian laws apply, including the LGPD and the Consumer Protection Code where a consumer relationship exists. Disputes may be brought before the competent court, preserving the consumer's right to use the court of their domicile.

For questions, requests or complaints, contact info@docguard.app. The Privacy Policy provides the contact for exercising personal data rights.
